We are looking for a Group Financial Controller for our Head Office in Oslo, starting as soon as possible. As a Group Financial Controller at MPC Container Ships ASA you will be part of our small Group Accounting team for the consolidation and reporting of the financial statements. The role reports to our Head of Group Finance & Accounting. We are located in in Via Vika, Oslo.

Your mission

Overseeing group-level financial reporting and ensuring timely quarterly and annual closing
Managing consolidation of financial statements across multiple subsidiaries and sub holdings
Ensuring compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements across operating countries
Owning statutory and tax reporting on an annual basis and liaising with internal tax manager to ensure tax compliance
Strengthening internal controls and financial policies
Coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors
Ensuring accurate financial statements reporting
Performing Intercompany reconciliation across multiple entities and maintaining strong balance sheet control, including reconciliation and reviews
Driving improvements in controls and processes

Your profile

You are a diligent person that works proactively and independently. You are motivated to work in a hectic and demanding environment and have a strong interest in corporate finance.

Master’s degree in accounting or finance
At least 5-7 years’ relevant work experience
Experience with accounting, group reporting, tax reporting, consolidation and/or audits of a stock-listed company
Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy when working with (numerical) data
Good communication skills in English, including preparing reports and presentations
